Today is my first day back from vacation.
I’ve spent most of the day catching up with friends about what happened while I was gone… so thank you to our wonderful producer, Tom, who continues working hard while I laugh around the newsroom.
Also, thanks to Sarah’s mom for the goodies today! She brought in some sort of cream puffs that were gone in about two seconds… I went back for another one and the plate was clean.
I do have some stories and pictures to share with you about my time off…. the main one being the day my dear cousin freaked me out in a drive-through safari. I may never forgive her for it!
Thanks to everyone who wrote in while I was off. Great suggestions about the raccoons and deer and orchids. Oh, I bought my mom some orchids for her house. I took some pictures and I’ll show them to you, too. My dad bought a new grill with that infra-red cooking technology. The burgers and chicken we cooked stayed so juicy! Any of you ever tried it? Any advice? (I overcooked the tuna.)
